Poros
Due to its decade-long experience in grinding wheels manufacturing for centreless grinding, Tiac srl staff has designed a new product line that can meet changing market needs. They stem from the need to increase productivity and cut costs. This product line, called POROS, is largely used in both twin-wheels centreless surface grinding and grinding wheel and rolling mill grinding.
Increased performance and grinding cost reduction
Increased performance and grinding cost reduction
These newly-designed products have a highly porous structure that, due to the self-dressing principle, offers high cutting capacity, involving less diamond dressing. In addition, POROS grinding wheels highly-porous structure offers:
- Increased removal capacity in one single pass, which improves stock removal performance.
- Higher bar motion speed.
- Better bar finishing.
- Better bar geometric degree which prevents any triangular defects and possible ovalization. (Which can be hardly controlled when heavy removal is required leading to high bar motion speed).
- Grinding wheels structural features offer increased heat dissipation, significantly decreasing temperatures reached when grinding wheels are in contact with parts.
- Reduction of diamond dressing cycles and the relevant machine downtime.
- Longer grinding wheel life, due to both reduction of diamond dressing cycles and cold cutting maintained by their porous structure.
